• Karen Wetherell, MD CPE is the Chief Medical Officer for Village Medical Arizona and Texas Growth Markets. She is a board certified internal medicine physician with over 25 years of primary care experience and a Certified Physician Executive. During her tenure at Village Medical, Dr. Wetherell has also had the pleasure of working across the organization as a National Medical Director and served the west region as a Regional CMO advancing value-based care and the clinical model. Prior to joining Village Medical, Dr. Wetherell was a co-owner of the largest internal medicine private practice group in Arizona for almost two decades.
  
  Dr. Wetherell completed her medical education at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 1997 and completed her residency at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in 2000.
