• Biography
  Karen Harris-Moore, M.D., is a proud alumnus of Howard University College of Medicine, earning her medical degree in 1981. She completed her internship and residency at Howard University Hospital. She was a four-year National Health Service Corp Scholar recipient. Dr. Harris-Moore has served in the Department of Family Medicine as an Associate Professor at Howard University, Emory University and Morehouse School of Medicine at various times in her academic career.
  
  Dr. Harris-Moore has had a thriving practice with Piedmont Physicians of Peachtree City since 1995. She is board-certified in Family Medicine and is committed to providing quality care to patients by addressing their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
  
  Dr. Harris-Moore has been recognized for various achievements: in 2002 as one of America’s Top Family Doctors by Consumer’s Research Council of America, in 2006 as one of the Physicians in Who’s Who in Black Atlanta, in 2008 Piedmont Healthcare’s first Medical Director for Atlanta’s 2-Day Breast Cancer Walk, in 2012 one of Atlanta’s Influential African-American Doctors by Black Health Magazine, in 2013 inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of Family Physicians, and in 2014 received the distinguished alumni in medicine award by Howard University Alumni Club of Atlanta. She has given over twenty-five years of service to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
  
  She resides in Fayetteville, Georgia with her husband of over thirty years Marvin Lee Moore (HU’81). They are the proud parents of Brittany Renée Moore (Spelman College, 2012) and the late Marvin Lee Moore, Jr.
