Summary
- I have been practicing geriatric and palliative medicine in West Philadelphia for 30 years. i am Professor and Chair of the Department of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine; I serve as Medical Director of both the PCOM Clinical Research Center and the Residentialist Group of home care providers in Philadelphia. My board certifications are in Geriatrics, Family Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Pain Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care, and I am a Certified Medical Director through the American Medical Directors Association.
I currently Chair of the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (local Area Agency on Aging) and am a member of the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. A distinguished fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Physicians (ACOFP) I am also a Fellow of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia.
My research interests mirror my clinical practice areas, including dementia, pain, geriatric function, and health promotion/disease prevention.
