  • Dr. Katherine Murray Leisure retired May, 2023, after 43 practice in infectious diseases. She received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School 1978 and was Lieutenant JG in the US Public Health Service in Carville, LA, from 1979-82, and completed infectious diseases fellowship at Penn State, Hershey, in 1986. She was a past member of the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology and the American Society of Medicine & Tropical Hygiene. She resigned from the Infectious Diseases Society of America in 2021, during the CoVid19 SARS CoV 2 virus pandemic from Wuhan, China. Dr Murray was Past President of Lebanon County Medical Society, PA, and is a life member of Massachusetts Medical Society. She remains interested in international health, emerging infections including leishmaniasis, intestinal Gulf War Desert Syndrome, leprosy, neuro-Lyme, and tick-borne diseases. She has more than 30 peer-reviewed medical publications.
