- Kevin Hoffarth, MD began his medical career practicing full-spectrum Family Medicine in South Lake Tahoe, CA, for a decade. Over time, he became disillusioned with allopathic medicine’s limited focus on symptom management rather than addressing the root causes of disease. This led him to take a two-year working sabbatical, during which he trained in five different Functional Medicine programs and earned his certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFMCP).
In 2012, Dr. Hoffarth launched his own concierge practice in Austin, TX. Since then, he has developed an extensive national waitlist and authored two books. His first, Functional Medicine: The New Standard, was published in 2020 and is available on Amazon.
