  • Dr. Kevo Rivera (accepts all pronouns) is a queer, genderfree, Filipinx-American child of once-undocumented immigrants. They received their Doctor of Medicine with Global Health Distinction from the University of Iowa, where they stayed to complete their psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship. During Kevo’s training, they served as co-chair of the Department of Psychiatry Diversity Committee, as councilor of the Iowa Psychiatric Physicians Society, and as a Diversity Leadership Fellow with the American Psychiatric Association. They were also involved in local community advocacy as an appointed member of Iowa City’s Ad Hoc Truth and Reconciliation Commission and as a board member of the ACLU of Iowa.
