Summary
- I am a family physician licensed to practice in Colorado and Montana. I grew up in northwest Montana, received a BS in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University before deciding to attend medical school. It was participating in the Rural Track program at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine that solidified my passion to care for people of all ages, especially in rural areas. It was this same passion that led me to an amazing residency at the University of Wyoming Family Medicine in Casper where I followed a geriatrics training tract and became certified as a palliative and end-of-life educator.
Upon graduating from Residency in 2013, I moved to Sterling, Colorado where I continued my passions in geriatric and end of life care, becoming a hospice medical director and expanding palliative care for the community. Over the next 10 years, I had joined the skilled nursing team in Holyoke, CO, and the local mental health center, providing psychiatric services. Unfortunately, in late 2020, one of my parents was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. Thanks to COVID, telemedicine services had significantly expanded, so I was able to urgently assume the caretaker and POA role for my family in Montana while maintaining telemedicine practice in Colorado.
In the summer of 2023, I was pleased to discover a group in Whitefish, MT who have formed an integrative medicine clinic that focuses on bridging health and healing, helping clients understand their bodies and disease states so the patient can make the best decision for their own body and health. I found a new home where my knowledge, expertise and skills complement others within the clinic, formally opening a part time practice in late 2023 while continuing to provide services in Colorado via telemedicine.
