Summary

• As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have been professionally trained to provide advanced and complex medical care with a dual focus on interventions through psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. I am proficient in the art and science of psychotherapy and physical assessments, which allows me to interact with vulnerable populations and promote positive mental health across all life spans. Additionally, my experience expands broadly and allows for me to work with adults and geriatrics in a variety of settings, including prisons, public health facilities, government facilities, hospital emergency rooms, independent private practice, and an assortment of other institutes. As I continue to develop my skills and earn my DNP, I plan to utilize my education by providing treatment and education supported in evidence-based practice. Over the next five years, my goals consist of practicing as a DNP at the highest level of nursing practice and actively participating on committees that enhance the nurse practitioner role, in efforts of providing optimal physical and mental health across all life spans. As a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, delivering the highest quality, inclusive, equitable, and unbiased mental health care, I have had the privilege of witnessing remarkable positive outcomes for families and individuals suffering from mental health issues. Additionally, I hold a leadership role in nursing as a house supervisor and am dedicated to maintaining excellent communication with patients, staff, administrators, and families. Both roles have helped me develop empathetic listening skills, and actionable communication.
