Summary

  • Currently I am an attending physician at Loma Linda University Health. I just completed my Infectious Diseases fellowship at Yale University. My research focus is about HIV status and its relation to syphilis. Also, I underwent training in antimicrobial stewardship. In addition, I honed my teaching skills by leading HIV lectures to pharmacists, PA students, and other ID fellows. An additional area of interest is zoonotic infections.

  • QI Project- Upper Respiratory Infections and Antibiotic UseWorking with Dr. Fisher at the VA to evaluate the antibiotic over-use among physicians working in the ED. 1st phase data has been collected and will be sent to the physicians with feedback. Next data collection will occur from 12/1- 3/1/2020 to see if the education led to improvement2019 - 2020
  • Fellow- Neurosyphilis and HIV Status- A Systematic Review and MetanalysisWorking with Dr. Dunne on a systematic review focusing on how HIV status (CD4 and viral load) impacts the rate of neurosyphilis, and the risk of developing specific symptoms (meningitis, ocular,meningovascular, ect). Completed the abstract review and we are doing full-text review of 300 articles.2019 - 2020
