- Laura Petersen, MD, is a board certified internist and professor of medicine based in Houston, TX. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital in 1991, following her graduation from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 1988. Her research is focused on improving our understanding of how the quality, safety, and efficiency of health care can be improved to improve the health of the population.
