  • Linn Goldberg, MD is Professor Emeritus at the Oregon Health and Science University, an Internal Medicine specialist, and former Chief of the Division of Health Promotion and Sports Medicine and Director of the OHSU Human Performance Laboratory, all based in Portland, OR. He completed his medical education at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 1975, with distinction, and Alpha Omega Alpha, followed by a residency at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Goldberg has a prolific contribution to medical literature, with numerous publications on various aspects of public health, health promotion, and behavior change. He has multiple NIH grants as PI and Co-I. He has also led many clinical trials in sports medicine and public health. Dr. Goldberg has received numerous honours and awards, including the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition, the International Achievement Award from Queen Silvia's (Sweden) Mentor Foundation and the Champion Award from Sports Illustrated. He has co-written three books, and his scientific publications have been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, ABC-News and numerous other outlets.
