• Dr. Lisa Nelson is a Family Medicine specialist based in Great Barrington, MA. She completed her medical education at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and her residency in Family Medicine at Boston University Medical Center. Currently, she is the owner and founder of Canopy Integrative Health Care, a direct primary care practice in the Berkshires. Previously, Dr Nelson worked at Community Health Programs in Great Barrington and Family Practice Associates in Pittsfield, MA. She also served as the Director of Medical Education at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health from 2010 to 2020, and the Volunteer Medical Director at The Nutrition Center from 2012-2018. She focuses on the treatment and prevention of chronic diseases through nutrition and lifestyle changes, as well as integrated approaches to emotional and physical well-being.
