• Lisa Profera MD is the owner and founder of the integrated Aesthetics and Lifestyle Medicine practice called PROJUVU MD ®. Trained at the University of Michigan Hospitals, Dr. Profera retired from her successful 23-year career as a primary care pediatrician in 2015. Since then, she has been helping people of all ages with whole plant medicines: CBD, medical marijuana, and essential oils to optimize wellness, and to address specific health concerns without using synthetics and pharmaceuticals. By integrating her medical expertise and degree in Biochemistry, Dr. Profera’s mission is to educate her patients on the safe and effective use of cannabinoids and other plant based compounds. As a licensed MD registered with the CRA (Cannabis Regulatory Agency), she helps residents of the State of Michigan obtain their medical marijuana cards through the Michigan Medical Marijuana Program. She also conducts private cannabis medicine consultations for people throughout the USA. She is Certified in Cannabis Medicine and Science through the University of Vermont, Larner College of Medicine. Her proprietary line of CBD, is "the next generation" of CBD medicine.
  
  As a CrossFit® athlete for over 17 years, and a CrossFit® L-1 Trainer, Dr. Profera also understands the value of functional fitness for life. BEMER (Bio-Electro-Magnetic Energy Regulation) technology fits right into this philosophy as it is a highly effective means of supporting every cell in our body by improving blood flow. In addition to advocating for maximal health and functionality throughout one’s lifespan, she promotes the concept of “projuvenation” (proactive rejuvenation) to help her patients look and feel younger. Dr. Profera is also an expert injector who artfully uses neurotoxins and hyaluronic acid fillers for non-surgical facial rejuvenation. She is the Medical Director of Facial Innovations by Shari, a Medical Spa offering cutting edge anti-aging treatments and technologies.
