Summary

• Lloyd Miller is currently the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Translational Science & Medicine in J&J’s Immunology Therapeutic Area in which he oversees the design and execution of first-in-human Ph1 trials, clinical pharmacology and mechanism of action studies, experimental medicine studies and Ph1b/Ph2a proof-of concept and proof-of-mechanism trials across the 4 disease areas in Immunology, including Immunodermatology, Rheumatology/Autoantibody, Gastroenterology and Respiratory.
  
  Prior to that role, from 2020-2024, Lloyd served as the Vice President and Immunodermatology Disease Area Stronghold (DAS) Leader for J&J’s Immunology Therapeutic Area in which he provided the scientific leadership and strategy to meet the needs of millions of patients living with immune-mediated skin diseases.
  
  Prior to joining J&J, Lloyd served as Vice Chair for Research in Dermatology and Professor of Dermatology, Infectious Diseases, Orthopedic Surgery and Materials Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins.
  
  For more than 20 years, Lloyd is a recognized leader in skin immunology, microbiome, infectious diseases, and wound healing. He published >100 peer-reviewed articles and has given >100 oral presentations. He received multiple NIH, foundation, and industry funding. Dr. Miller also served on the Arthritis, Connective Tissue and Skin (ACTS) NIH study section, the medical and scientific review committee for the Dermatology Foundation and as a Board of Director for the Society for Investigative Dermatology. He was elected to the William Osler Interurban Clinical Club and the American Society of Clinical Investigation (ASCI).
  
  Lloyd earned his B.A. in Biology at Johns Hopkins, M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. He completed his dermatology residency and post-doctoral research fellowship in the specialty training and advanced research (STAR) program at UCLA.
