Dr. Harrison developed the GI and hepatology fellowship and then led the development of the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. He has contributed to multiple publications on gastrointestinal endoscopy and liver transplantation in esteemed journals. His work has been cited multiple times, reflecting his involvement in the academic community. He continues to support the training of GI and Hepatology fellows at Mayo Clinic in outpatient hepatology and endoscopy practice today. In the community at large, he serves as a member of the board of the Mountain Park Medical Centers, in Phoenix, Arizona.
