- A nationally known leader in cataract and cornea surgery, Dr. Jones is consistently recognized in Best Doctors in America and as a Cleveland Magazine Top Doctor. He is a fellowship trained cornea and anterior segment surgeon who has performed more than ten thousand cataract, LASIK, and cornea surgeries and actively trains other ophthalmologists. He has been selected by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) multiple times to conduct important clinical studies. Dr. Jones serves as the Clinical Director of NEOES, Chairman of Ophthalmology at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center, Associate Professor of Surgery at NEOMED university and Assistant Clinical Professor at The Ohio State University. Dr. Jones is also a 15-year board member of the Ohio Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Jones earned his degree in medicine from Yale University and completed his residency at Wills Eye Hospital followed by a fellowship in cornea and anterior segment surgery.
