Dr. Marc Melcher is a Professor of Surgery in the Division of Abdominal Transplantation. He completed his residency at Stanford and a fellowship in abdominal transplant surgery at UCSF. Dr. Melcher holds a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley, an MD from Columbia Physicians and Surgeons, and a BA in Biochemistry from Harvard. Employed as a professor at Stanford Health Care, he has extensive experience in kidney and liver transplantation. His recent publications include studies on liver transplant outcomes and donor kidney offers. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
