Summary

As Health & Wellness Medical Director of the South Zone with Concentra, Dr. Watkins brings extensive occupational medicine, urgent care experience, and primary care to the position. Board Certified in Occupational & Environmental Medicine. He earned his M.D. in Nashville on a military scholarship, training initially in General Surgery. He spent five years in the Navy serving extensively with the Marines. He was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal (2) in support of combat operations in Iraq. Since leaving the military he has earned a Master of Public Health and completed additional training in Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He has worked extensively in both the public and private sectors. Prior to coming to Concentra he served as the Interim Medical Director for Nissan North America, located in Smyrna, Tennessee.
