- I am residency trained in emergency medicine and certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. I've been Program Director of 3 emergency medicine residencies, research director of two, academic chair of two, and the first full professor of emergency medicine at Texas A&M University Health Science Center. I've served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Commanded the Texas Medical Command for 47 months.
Until recently, I was the CMO & VP for Medical Affairs for FamilyER + Urgent Care; Chief of Emergency Medical Services for the Texas State Guard; and Adjunct Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at UNTHSC TCOM.
