• Maria Michelotti,M.D. received her medical degree from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine in 1981, & completed her residency in internal medicine in 1985. She is &has been continuously-board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine since 09/11/1985, & fully licensed in Illinois. She has been in a full-time primary care practice for 35 years in Glenview, IL with NorthShore University Health Systems (which includes the NorthShore Medical Group & affiliate hospitals in Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, & Skokie). During that time, she held faculty positions as a senior clinical instructor with Northwestern University (Feinberg) School of Medicine from 1985 until 1998, then as a senior clinical instructor with The University of Chicago from 1998 until 12/31/2020. She has retired from NorthShore Medical Group (with an emeritus-staff status) as of 12/31/2020; she is pursuing a part-time telehealth & lifestyle-intervention based practice. Dr. Michelotti's interest & expertise is in preventive primary care, with special interests in plant-based nutrition for the prevention & treatment of cardiovascular disease, obesity & the metabolic syndrome. On a personal note, she is married (to husband John Bergman since 1986), has three children (a daughter & two sons), and remains close to her extended family.
