• To My Patients,
  It has been an honor to serve the medical needs of the Frederick community for the past 20 years. I have had the privilege to be part of your lives through good times and bad. I value your trust and confidence.
  With mixed emotions I will be leaving Internal Medicine Associates at the end of March 2015. For the past 15 years I have been privileged to work with colleagues who have supported and enriched me with their expertise and curiosity.
  It is with great anticipation that I, along with my colleague Dr. Afrookteh, announce the opening of Mid Maryland Internal Medicine on April 1st, 2015. This will be a Membership Practice, also known to some as direct pay or concierge care. We will no longer be accepting any form of insurance, including Medicare.
  Instead, for an annual Professional Fee estimated at less than $5 a day, our patients will have unlimited access to their personal physician. Same day/next day office visits are scheduled for a minimum of 30 minutes. Waiting times will essentially be eliminated. Comprehensive physicals, EKGs, routine vaccines and annual labs are included. Additionally, patients will have access to their personal physician through email and cell phone. We will provide inpatient consultation services at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
  Most importantly, we are providing what people want most, a doctor who knows them and has the time to listen.
