Summary

  • I am the Chief Medical Officer of Prima CARE, a large, multispecialty medical group based in Fall River, Massachusetts. Following Medical School in San Francisco and Residency/Fellowship training in General and Vascular Surgery at the Brigham, I practice Vascular & Endovascular Surgery in Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Virginia in the Sentara system for 20 years.

I pursued my interest in the larger world of health care delivery by earning a Master’s in Health Care Management at the Harvard School of Public Health. I then moved to southeastern Massachusetts to practice Vascular & Endovascular Surgery with Prima CARE, becoming the Chief Medical Officer in 2013.

My current interests center around the management of this large multispecialty medical group, affiliated with the Steward Health Care Network. My responsibilities include the expected oversight of Prima CARE’s efficient delivery of Primary and Specialty Care, meeting Quality Metric targets, Patient Satisfaction, recruiting, marketing, and security & compliance. My Steward Network roles include Medical Directorship of Steward’s Fall River Chapter, Inpatient Medical Directorship at Saint Anne’s Hospital, and Directorship of the Prima CARE Hospital Medicine Program.

I am devoted to principles of high-quality health care for all, encouragement and stimulation for all to succeed in their chosen professions, and maximizing the experience of every patient who seeks our services for wellness or treatment of their medical conditions. I am a member of the Syrian American Medical Society and have participated in four medical missions to Amman, Jordan, to care for their Syrian refugees.
