Summary
- Marwan Alhalabi is Director of BioTherapeutics Research Center, the President of Federation of Arab OBGYN Societies (FAGOS), Past President of the Middle East Fertility Society (MEFS), President of Syrian Society of OBGYN.
He is professor of reproductive medicine, Genetics and embryology, Vice Dean for scientific affairs, head of department of reproductive medicine, genetics and embryology at faculty of medicine of Damascus University. He is also head of assisted reproduction unit and consultant medical director of Orient Hospital.
Prof Alhalabi graduated from Damascus University, Syria in 1987. He completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and obtained master’s degree in 1991. He completed his research fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and obtained PhD degree from University of Franche-Comte, France in 1998.
He has published more than 50 papers in reproductive medicine, edited five textbooks, supervised many masters and doctorates, held four honorary memberships and granted many local, regional and international awards.
