She is interested in the development of novel health care delivery models to improve primary care, and subsequently public health.
She has experience in settings ranging from a Syrian refugee camp clinic in Greece to transitional housing for homeless adults living with HIV in inner city Baltimore. After nursing school, she served as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in Uganda. Mary was recently an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF, where she taught in the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program and coordinated the HIV Minor.
