• Mary Thornton is a Family Nurse Practitioner based in McComb, MS, with subspecialties in Acute Care and Gastroenterology. She pursued her education at the University of Southern Mississippi and William Carey College, obtaining a Post-Masters Certificate, Masters, and BSN. She currently practices as a Gastroenterology NP and has served as an ADN instructor and has extensive experience in managing conditions such as viral hepatitis, MASH, alcoholic liver disease, as well as performing procedures like flexible sigmoidoscopy and paracentesis. She also treats general GI patients and IBD. Her research includes publications on high-dose treatment of HCV patients and characteristics of abusive parents.she has published/ presented her research at Heaptitis conferences and has written NCLEX RN and LPN questions for NCLEX RN and ŁPN board reviews.
