Dr. Boente has a wide range of experience that includes robotic surgery, clinical research, and clinical trials, and has published numerous articles in reputed journals. More recently he served as the Director of gynecological oncology research in the Medical Affairs division at Genentech Inc. South San Francisco CA. In addition, he has participated in various clinical trials related to endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer, and cervical cancer, among others. He is distinguished as a Meaningful Use Stage 1 Certification recipient, a Top MD from Consumers Checkbook, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is the former chief of gynecologic oncology at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia and held the same position later in his career at the University of Minnesota Medical Center.
