  • Dr. Matthew Johnson is a urologist in Milwaukee, WI. He works primarily at the referral center Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center. He has served as Urology Section Chief, Chair of the Robotics Steering Committee, and Chief of Surgery at St. Luke's. Currently he represents Surgical Services on Aurora's Metro Management Committee. His main interest is in robotic surgery for prostate cancer and bladder cancer. He participated in the first robotic urologic procedure in the State of Wisconsin November 2003. He has an interest in open surgical approaches, often requiring a multi-disciplinary approach for complex surgical problems. He also treats most adult urology problems for both benign and cancer conditions. He spends one full day each week performing outpatient endoscopic surgery, most often for kidney stones, BPH, and bladder cancer management. He received his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. He completed Surgery and Urology training at University of Wisconsin in 2001. In the office, he sees new consults for most adult urology problems and performs office-based minor surgery including vasectomy. He has a broad team to maintain access to his practice for in-person and remote care. He offers video visits for routine cancer follow-up appointments especially suited for patients who travel from out of town for surgery. He offers introduction video visits for patients who are interested in a second opinion regarding prostate cancer and bladder cancer.
