Summary

• I am a board certified psychiatrist who worked in academia part-time from 2005-2021. Since then, I have been working in the Neurology Department of a hospital in the western suburbs. I also work part-time in a limited private practice in the western suburbs. My specialty has been the treatment of psychiatric symptoms in patients with primary movement disorders. I enjoy problem solving in neuropsychiatry, with or without the use of pharmacology, mentoring young people, and providing education to patients, colleagues, and staff. I love working in the neurology environment where I can learn so much, and of course, we all learn from our patients. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team is where I can contribute the most, and neurodegenerative and movement disorders are the perfect areas for this approach. As long as patients have a neurologist, telepsychiatry visits bring the possibility of distant care for those without nearby resources and I am thrilled at the expansion of this area. Because my specialty is focused, and hard to find, using telepsychiatry to help on a national level, or for Centers of Excellence in Huntington's disease or Parkinson's disease, would be my hope for the future. I hope to be able to help as many people as possible, throughout my career.
