Summary

  • I am the attending psychologist to the pediatric heart and kidney transplant teams at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, University of Michigan Health System. My research interests include the study of patient and family adjustment and quality of life in pediatric solid organ transplantation, ethical issues in pediatric solid organ transplantation, and healthcare communication and decision-making in pediatric medicine. I am actively involved in research to improve communication between providers, patients and families via medical education and hospital-based quality improvement interventions. I am also one of few child psychologists to complete formal pediatric palliative care fellowship training. As a result, I am committed to the study of psychological interventions in pediatric palliative care for promoting health and emotional outcomes.
