- Dr. Melodie Isgro is an Addiction Medicine specialist based in Anchorage, AK. She completed her medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1995, followed by a residency in Emergency Medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center from 1995 to 1998. After 15 years of practicing Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care, she changed specialties and entered into Fellowship training for Addiction Medicine. Her further training includes a fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2013-2014 for clinical Addiction Medicine, followed by a fellowship at the San Diego VA/UCSD from 2014-2016 in Addiction Research. Dr. Isgro has published several papers and has given numerous presentations on various addiction topics. She has served as an attending for the Alaska Addiction Medicine fellowship. Currently, she is a consultant for both the Opioid Response Network, as well as for a Tribal Health Organization in Alaska.
