- Mercy Kanyongo, FNP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Mercy began her nursing career in 2008, graduating from COTC with an Associate Degree in Nursing. She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Franklin University and also a bachelor's degree in nursing from Capital University, with honors.
She has experience in a multitude of medical settings, most notably Riverside Methodist Hospital, including medical-surgical, long-term care and home health, with clinical experience in primary and adult care. Starting as a staff nurse, she advanced quickly to charge nurse and peritoneal dialysis nurse and gained valuable leadership skills as a clinical lead. She is currently in leadership development training with Riverside.
After years of bedside nursing a change was in order. She earned her Masters of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati. Since, she has enjoyed providing primary care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
