Summary

  • Dr. Archibeck specializes in adult reconstructive orthopedic surgery of the hip and knee. His practice is primarily focused on primary hip and knee replacement surgeries, revision hip and knee replacements, partial knee replacements, and complex reconstructions. He has a particular interest in the use of computer navigation and robotics in reconstructive procedures. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and The Hip Society.

    Dr. Archibeck was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He left New Mexico after high school and attended the University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate education. He went on to attend medical school at U.C.L.A. He then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Utah. He subsequently spent a year of fellowship training specifically in adult reconstruction at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s and Midwest Orthopaedics in Chicago.

    Following his fellowship, he and his wife returned home to Albuquerque, where he developed a busy joint replacement practice and they raised their four daughters. Dr. Archibeck was thrilled to return to the University of Utah in 2021 as an associate professor.

    Outside of work he enjoys time with his family, cycling, and brewing beer.
