Summary

  • I am currently Professor of Radiology and Medicine, Chief of the Division of Emergency Radiology and Vice Chair for Quality and Patient Safety for the Department of Radiology at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, in Hershey Pennsylvania. My primary scholarly and research interest is in the area of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, with an emphasis on understanding and preventing radiologists’ diagnostic errors, as well as the improvement of communication between radiologists and other caregivers. I have written four radiology textbooks, including, (1) Arthritis In Color: Advanced Imaging of Arthritis, with Dr. Tim Mosher, whch was published in 2009 by Elsevier, (2) Quality and Safety In Radiology, with Dr. Hani Abujudeh, published in 2012 by Oxford University Press, (3) Radiology Noninterpretive Skills—The Requisites, also with Dr. Abujudeh, published in 2017 by Elsevier, and most recently, Error and Uncertainty in Radiology, which was released in February, 2019, also from Oxford University Press.
