Summary

  • I am a board certified neurologist specializing in neurorehabilitation with specialized research and clinical training completed at intramural NIH. In 2011 I joined the University of Maryland School of Medicine Department of Neurology as an Assistant Professor and significantly increased the size of our Spasticity Management and Neurorehabilitation Practice, conducting close to 600 treatment procedures per year. I also served as the Rehabilitation Attending on the Stroke, Brain Injury, and Spinal Cord Injury units of the University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute, the largest Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility in Maryland. I also served as a General Neurology Attending at the VA Baltimore. Academically, I have led a small NIH and VA funded clinical research program exploring basic human motor control of the arm and pathology and rehabilitation of post-stroke hemiparesis using human neurophysiological, neuroimaging, and robot-assisted-training techniques. In 2021 I joined the FDA as a physician reviewer.
