Prior partner in successful, independent internal medicine group practicing hospitalist medicine in 8 hospitals/3 health systems before hospitalist medicine was even a subspecialty. Extensive work in development and implementation of a novel hospitalist model in 2017 with significant improvements noted in patient satisfaction, LOS, observation rates, CPOE, readmission rates, documentation improvement, as well as physician satisfaction. Current driving focus includes assisting physicians to make EHR work for them--easier, more efficient and accurate--as well as continue to improve hospital efficiency and patient safety, and ongoing hospitalist program development.
