- Miguel Lopez-Viego, M.D., is a board-certified general and vascular surgeon at Baptist Health and speaks fluent English and Spanish. Dr. Lopez-Viego received his medical degree from University of Miami School of Medicine, where he earned Alpha Omega Alpha status for being at the top of his medical school class. He then completed a general surgery residency — earning the Outstanding Fourth Year Resident Award — and then a vascular surgery fellowship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
