Summary

• I am a former resident of Egg Harbor Township, NJ. I attended the University of Maryland, School of Medicine and graduated in 2003. I completed my residency in Family Medicine at the University of Maryland, Department of Family and Community Medicine in Baltimore.
  
  I have worked in outpatient primary care for 22 years and was named one of Washingtonian Magazine's Top Docs in 2025. I have a passion for helping patients optimize their chronic health conditions and strive to provide a warm and welcoming medical home for all of my patients. I enjoy motivating and encouraging my patients to invest in their health.
  
  I also enjoy public speaking, community health education and health advocacy. I am currently serving as a private practice family physician in Northern Virginia and am board-certified in Family Medicine.
  
  I will be opening a new primary care office- Next Journey Health and Wellness- in the Fall 2025. This private practice will provide care for the whole family, accepting most insurance plans. I will also offer “wellness packages” for patients who are seeking more extensive treatment plans surrounding weight management, menopause and hormone management and lifestyle optimization. I work hand and hand with my patients, helping guide them using evidence-based principles to best care for themselves, always considering patients’ individual health goals.
  
  I reside in Northern Virginia with my husband Dr. Frederick D. Scott, Jr. -Orthopaedic Surgeon and owner of Next Journey Orthopaedics-and our two teens.
  
  I am an active member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Herndon, serving on the Health Ministry, using my expertise, bringing medicine to the community. I enjoy music, dancing and spending time with our energetic doodles. I am excited to collaborate with Dr. Frederick Scott, Jr., at Next Journey, helping patients on their own personal journeys to wellness, providing a multi-specialty, complete care experience to reach their health goals.
