Summary
- With over 15 years of experience as an ophthalmologist, cornea sub-specialist, and professor of ophthalmology, I am passionate about advancing the field of cornea and Anterior Segment diseases including Ocular Surface Disease through research, education, and clinical practice. I was a clinical fellowship in Ocular Regenerative Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago, where I also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms of dry eye syndrome and ocular surface diseases. I have a lot of experience in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellowship and provide high-quality care to patients with corneal disorders. I hold the FICO and have received multiple honors and grants for my academic and clinical achievements, including the 1st rank in the National Film Festival. I have a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and collaboration, and I strive to contribute to the global vision health community. Currently, I am Professor of Ophthalmology and Cornea Fellowship Director at University of North Carolina (UNC Chapel Hill).
