Summary

  • My core values include honesty, empathy, and vulnerability. I am educated in psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic techniques that focus on a holistic treatment approach for each patient. My individualized treatment approach prioritizes the important mind body connection we humans share. My core experience has been treating anxiety and mood spectrum disorders, substance use disorders, and I have specialized training in neuromodulation therapies for treatment resistant depression. I am currently accepting new patients ages 18-60. My current hours of operation are Mondays and Fridays between 10am and 6pm via telehealth only at this time. Beware all: my unruly cat, Isabella ‘Izzy’, may make a surprise guest appearance at any time!

My style is practical, sincere, and direct with a healthy dose of humor. I have over 10 years of Mental Health Nursing experience, with a trauma based treatment approach for anxiety, depression, bipolar spectrum, substance use, and psychotic disorders within inpatient, outpatient (community mental health and private practice), and crisis service (ER and urgent care) environments.

Emotional wellness involves a combination of treatment modalities including but not limited to; psychotropic medications, psychoeducation, psychotherapy, and lifestyle adjustments such as diet and exercise. I believe in alternative therapies like acupuncture and am willing to refer patients to specialists who are trained in these areas in combination with medication management if preferred. My role is to utilize as few medications as possible to gain maximum benefit, while minimizing potential side effects. * I do not routinely prescribe benzodiazepines medications (Xanax, Ativan, Valium, & Klonopin). I am happy to assist motivated individuals to gradually and safely taper off these medications.*
