- Dr. Ehtesham is a board-certified and fellowship trained neurosurgeon. He has served as Associate Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska and was also Director of the division of Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery. Prior to this, he served as Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee where he also directed the Brain Tumor Research Laboratory. He has been recognized with Young Investigator Award by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He specializes in complex spine surgery including revision surgeries and spinal deformity/scoliosis. He also has specific expertise in the treatment of brain aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations via both open surgical and minimally-invasive techniques.
He received his medical degree from Aga Khan Medical College and has been in practice 21 years. He specializes in brain & spinal tumor, cerebrovascular neurosurgery, neurosurgical spine surgery, and skull base and is experienced in neurosurgical oncology, neurosurgical spine surgery, skull base surgery, interventional neuroradiology / endovascular neurosurgery, and cerebrovascular disease.
