He then did a rotation internship at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This was followed by a residency in Internal Medicine and GI fellowship at the Chicago Osteopathic Hospital. He returned to Grandview hospital as the first gastroenterologist at that hospital from 1980 until mid 1983. He then joined the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas in 1983 and is still there and active. His efforts in the field have earned him the CMS Meaningful Use Stage 1 Certification from NextGen Ambulatory EHR, NextGen Healthcare in 2013.
