Muhammad Rehan Puri MD, MPH is a psychiatrist with training in Adult Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is a diplomat by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Puri is the medical director of the Inpatient adolescent unit at the Texoma Behavioral Health Center, Sherman, TX. He graduated medical school from Dow Medical University, then completed his Masters of Public Health from Wright State University Dayton, Ohio. He completed his psychiatry residency training at Bergen Regional Medical Center, Paramus, NJ and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Institute of Living, Hartford, CT. During his training, Dr. Puri worked on several projects to understand substance abuse, Autism Spectrum disorder, ADHD, eating disorder and trauma related issues and published and presented his findings on national forums. Dr. Puri has been the recipient of many awards. Some of these include the best paper award as a resident. Dr. Puri is also a provider of Buprenorphine (Suboxone) Treatment. Dr. Puri is an advocate for mental health services, and is deeply involved in advocacy, research, and international collaborations.
