Shad is a psychiatry residency program director at the Valley Health System (a subsuduary of Universal Health Services), Las Vegas, Nevada and an Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), Las Vegas NV and at the Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine, Las Vegas, Nevada. He received his medical degree from Sind Medical College and has been in practice 34 years. He specializes in addiction and is certified in Advanced Psychopharmacology by the American Society of CLinical Psychopharmacology with a sgnificant expereicne in the psychopharmacological managment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression. He has over 78 peer-reviwed papers with multiple book chapters and CME national and international presentations, webinars, interactive general sessions. Dr. Shad has been funded by federal, private and pharmaceutical grants to conduct reserach in neuroiamging, pharmacogenomics, and psychopahrmacology.
