She received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Ko served as the Co-Director of the BMC Breast Cancer Program both at Faculty Practice Foundation Inc Evans Medical Foundation and Boston Medical Center. Her research includes publications on breast cancer, focusing on racial disparities, treatment improvements, and biomarker analyses in reputable journals such as Breast Cancer Research, Annals of Surgical Oncology, Clinical Cancer Research, and Nature Genetics. She is also involved in clinical trials assessing chemotherapy responses using advanced imaging techniques.
