  • I am a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (DipACLM). Severe childhood asthma and adverse chronic steroid therapy effects have made me passionate to use evidence-based intensive therapeutic lifestyle change (ITLC) interventions such as whole-food, plant-predominant nutrition; intermittent fasting; regular physical activity; restorative sleep; stress management; avoidance of known and potentially harmful substances; positive social connectedness; and time in nature, to prevent, treat, and/or reverse noncommunicable diseases such as:

    • Chronic inflammation
    • Metabolic syndrome encompassing obesity, non-alcohol fatty liver disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, insulin resistance including pre-diabetes and diabetes type 2
    • Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease encompassing: coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, heart failure, aneurysm, stroke, peripheral vascular disease, claudication, gangrene, chronic kidney disease, erectile dysfunction, macular degeneration, hearing loss, degenerative disc disease, disc herniation, sciatica , bowel infarction
