- My name is Nick Melott and I'm currently a fourth year medical student at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to medical school, I played varsity tennis for Texas Tech University while obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. I took several years in-between undergraduate studies and medical school to take prerequisites, study for the MCAT, and obtain a Master's degree in Medical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
