- Nidhi S. Nikhanj, MD is an experienced physician leader and pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine specialist with extensive expertise in telemedicine, health system innovation and large‑scale critical care delivery. Since 2013, he has served as Associate Medical Director for Banner Telehealth, providing strategic and operational oversight for Banner Health’s nationally recognized TeleICU program which is one of the largest tele‑critical care networks in the United States.
In this role he has led the expansion and integration of Tele-Critical services to support several acute care hospitals across multiple states, improving operational efficiency and clinical outcomes. He oversees large multidisciplinary teams of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and ancillary staff, ensuring alignment with strategic vision and quality standards. Dr. Nikhanj also serves as Physician Lead for Banner Health’s Critical Care Clinical High Reliability (CHaRGe) Group, guiding system‑wide implementation of evidence‑based clinical practices to improve critical care outcomes.
Alongside his leadership roles, Dr. Nikhanj maintains active clinical practice as an intensivist at Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles. He previously served as an academic attending physician at Olive View–UCLA Medical Center, where he provided patient care and trained residents, fellows, and medical students.
