Summary

  • Nigel N. Hsu, M.D., is an orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon serving patients in the Baltimore and Howard County areas. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Hsu specializes in comprehensive surgical care of the foot and ankle. He is an expert in total ankle replacement, foot and ankle deformity correction, foot and ankle arthritis, sports-related injuries, ankle arthroscopy, bunions, lesser toe deformities and fracture care. Dr. Hsu employs the latest technology in total ankle arthroplasty and minimally invasive techniques to achieve the best outcomes for his patients.





    Dr. Hsu completed his orthopaedic foot and ankle fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. Prior to that, he earned his medical degree and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He graduated with honors in chemistry and studio art from Dartmouth College.





    Dr. Hsu has authored numerous publications, book chapters and has presented research nationally. He is an accomplished artist and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
