Overview of Dr. Mehta-Naik
Dr. Mehta-Naik received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Northwestern University. She completed internship and residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medicine, and served as the chief resident in her final year. She subsequently completed a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Mehta-Naik has pursued academic interests in life transitions, particularly retirement decision-making. She has published book chapters, and has presented at national conferences, regarding these topics.
Dr. Mehta-Naik’s professional interests include life transitions, geriatric psychiatry, cultural psychiatry, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and resident education.
Dr. Mehta-Naik is now in private practice in Manhattan.
