Summary
- Okenwa Okose is a recent medical school graduate working at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary as a Harvard Research Fellow under Dr. Gregory Randolph. He is mostly involved in research directed towards the anatomy, identification and preservation of the recurrent laryngeal nerve and the external branch of the superior laryngeal nerve. His research experience also includes studies that explore the use of near-infrared autofluorescence technology to better identify parathyroid glands intra-operatively with the goal of reducing post-operative hypocalcemia following total thyroidectomies. Following his time as a research fellow he plans to resume his pursuit of a medical career in Otolaryngology.
